Van kept a scrapbook of many of the concerts featuring the musicians in the
photo collection. He kept ticket stubs, posters, handbills, and autographs from the musicians and
road crews. His gifts to the musicians were very much appreciated and made him a welcome visitor
backstage, and gave him a front row seat, with his camera. So far, the autographs of these musicians
have been identified: Chick Corea, B.B. King, Jeff Jaison, Elvin Bishop, George Grove, Dave Brubeck
Duffy Bishop, "King Dog" Carlson, David Bromburg, John Mayall, Corry Black, Ned Nelthy, Les Oskey,
Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Jim Weider, Rick Danko, Matt Murphey, Edgar Winter, James Cotton, Dr. John,
J.J. Cale, kd lang, Cheryl Wheeler, Stan Goetz, John Hartford, Ramblin Jack Elliot, James Williams,
Utah Phillips, Dave Brubeck, Bill Smith, Paul Butterfield, Red Skelton, Annie Lenox, Dave Mason,
